The Distributor Differentiator

"There is only one boss. The customer. And he can fire everybody in the company from the chairman on down, simply by spending his money elsewhere."

Sam Walton, founder of Walmart

A long time ago, before the days of computers on your cell phones, you could call your local aviation parts distributor and get pretty much anything needed to keep your Millennium Falcon flying. Not today. Retail-type distributors (those without owned stock) find it very hard to locate even the most common replacement parts, components, or systems. Of course, they come at premium prices when they can find them.  Our customers aren't having those problems. As a major stocking distributor, Texas Aerospace Technologies benefits from having a significant stock of parts and components and, more importantly, enjoying exceptionally strong relationships with our OEM suppliers.  Those relationships enable us to deliver what you need and ensure that we (and you) are paying reasonable prices.  When it comes to fixing AOG situations, it's nice to have friends in high places.  Another advantage we offer is that in those rare instances where the particular parts or components are not currently available or out of production, our experienced team of Technical Sales Representatives has the insights and knowledge to help identify and source alternative solutions.

And our expertise and abilities continue beyond the U.S. borders. We have aviation experts in strategic locations worldwide to help you solve your problems quickly and cost-effectively.

It's like aviation alchemy.

While being able to source and deliver the off-the-shelf parts and components you need in today's supply-chain-challenged world may seem impressive in its own right – it's just the beginning of what we can do to meet your needs.  Take, for example, a situation we recently faced with a customer. Their aircraft's OEM had long stopped producing critical components for the legacy model they operated in their fleet. When they were faced with needing to develop an FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) to upgrade those airplanes, the project's time and cost were prohibitive.

Instead of scrapping their aircraft, they contacted their Texas Aerospace Technologies representative. With our extensive engineering expertise, we worked with that operator to develop the solution and earn the STC at a cost and within a timeline that met their needs.  And with our ability to self-fund critical projects, we could build the entire program's cost into the final pricing. That alone made the extensive project that much more attractive.

How many other "distributors" can do that? You'd be hard-pressed to find one.

Not all distributors are created equal.

In today's world, an aircraft operator or MRO needs a distribution partner who can do much more than sell them a part.

That's the Texas Aerospace Technologies difference. From our extensive in-house stock to STC/PMA development and certification to kitting services, engineering, and collaborative product development, no matter what you need to keep your fleet flying at affordable prices, you can trust our commitment to deliver.

So, the only question is, what can we do for you?

The more you learn about Texas Aerospace Technologies, the more you'll understand why I chose this blog's title. When our parent company, Texas Aerospace Services, opened its doors a little over a year ago, our core team of experts already possessed nearly a century's worth of combined military, commercial, and business aviation experience.
